SOT Parent Nominations

Four parents wishing to serve on the Dooley School Organization Team (SOT) may nominate themselves by completing this survey.

Nomination Form

Nominations will be open September 1, 2026, through September 8th (3:00 PM). On September 9th the Dooley administration and parent organization (PLAY) will verify each nomination for eligibility. Once all nominations are verified, a voting form will be sent via email to parents. This information will also be posted on our school website.

The School Organizational Team is responsible for:

• Providing assistance and advice to the principal regarding the development of the School Plan of Operation.

• Providing continued assistance and advice to the principal in carrying out the School Plan of Operation.

• Assisting in the discussion of any additional authority to be transferred to the school to carry out responsibilities.

• Assisting with the selection of the next principal when a principal vacancy occurs.

Requirements to serve on the Dooley SOT:

• Must be a parent of a student attending Dooley ES during the 26-27 school year.

• Serve between October 1, 2026, and September 30, 2027 (5th-grade parents will have to resign in May 2027 - this is understandable and should not be a reason to not serve).

• Attend and participate in meetings (once a month) on dates and times selected by a majority of the SOT members. Per guidelines, these meetings must be outside of the school day (2:00 PM or after).

• Work to build consensus amongst all SOT members and make decisions to vote with the entire school population in mind.
