Dearest Toland Families,

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! As we begin another exciting chapter in our journey, I want to celebrate the

incredible momentum we’ve built together and share our vision for the year ahead. Our theme this school year is

“Innovation! Exploration! Excellence!” This is truly the driving force that continues to guide everything we do, and I could

not be more thrilled for what’s in store.

We are still on flying high after earning the Magnet Schools of America – School of Excellence Award for the 2024–2025

school year. This incredible honor speaks volumes about the commitment, talent, and unity of our staff, students, and

families. But we’re not stopping there! We are over the moon excited about earning a star to increase our star rating for

the Nevada State Performance Framework! We are officially a 3-Star school! We knew we were worthy and now

everyone can set their eyes on our commitment to excellence because now we have our eyes set on earning a 4-Star

school rating for this year! We're laser-focused on doing the intentional and purpose-driven work it takes to make that

happen. Every lesson, every moment, and every relationship we build is designed with your scholar’s academic and

personal growth in mind.

I am especially proud to share that our school has been selected to participate in the prestigious Nevada STEM Leaders

Academy, a major step toward our goal of becoming a Nevada Governor’s STEM Designated School. The Nevada

Governor's STEM Award is a designation given to schools demonstrating exemplary performance in Science, Technology,

Engineering, and Mathematics education through the Governor's Office of Science, Innovation, and Technology (OSIT)

and the Nevada STEM Advisory Council. This opportunity affirms our commitment to preparing students for the future by

engaging them in high-quality, real-world, hands-on learning experiences in science, technology, engineering, and math.

We are also working hard to achieve recognition as a Magnet Schools of America Designated STEM School, further

elevating the educational excellence Toland provides.

Our work matters deeply, and your scholar’s presence at school each and every day is essential to their success.

Attendance is more than just being here—it’s about fully engaging in learning that is intentional, meaningful, and built to

unlock each child’s potential. When students are here, they thrive. Our caring staff, rich curriculum, and commitment to

continuous growth create an environment where excellence isn’t just encouraged—it’s expected.

Together, we will continue to cultivate a learning community where innovation fuels curiosity, exploration broadens

horizons, and excellence is the standard. I invite you to partner with us again this year, volunteer, attend events, ask

questions, and stay involved. Your partnership strengthens our school and helps ensure that every scholar feels seen,

supported, and celebrated.
