Dearest Toland Families,
Welcome back to another exciting school year! I hope you and your family had a restful and enjoyable summer. As we embark on the 2024-2025 school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible achievements from last year and share some exciting updates that make this year even more special.
First, I am thrilled to introduce a wonderful new addition to our administrative team, Mrs. Brown, who will be joining us as our new additional Assistant Principal. Mrs. Brown comes to us with a wealth of experience in education and a deep commitment to student success. She is passionate about supporting both our staff and students and is eager to help us continue to grow as a school community. We are so fortunate to have her join our leadership team, and I know she will be a fantastic resource for students, staff, and families alike.
I am also excited to share that our school has been honored with the MSA School of Distinction Award for the 2023-2024 school year. This prestigious recognition is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and collaborative efforts of our students, teachers, and staff. Achieving this distinction reflects not only our commitment to academic excellence but also our focus on building a positive and inclusive school culture.
One of the key highlights of last year was our remarkable progress in reading and math. Through our targeted interventions, enriched learning environments, and dedication to student growth, we saw a significant improvement in overall achievement. Our students have worked incredibly hard, and we are proud of their progress. As we look ahead, we remain committed to continuing this upward trajectory and providing even more opportunities for our students to excel in these core subjects.
Additionally, we are continuing to expand and develop our STEM program (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). The work we're doing in this area is truly exciting! We are committed to providing students with hands-on, real-world experiences that encourage problem-solving, innovation, and teamwork. Our STEM initiatives will continue to be a cornerstone of our academic offering, preparing students not just for tests, but for a future in which critical thinking and creativity will be invaluable skills.
As always, we thank you for your continued support and partnership. It is through your involvement and encouragement that we are able to foster an environment where every student can thrive. We are excited for the year ahead and the many successes we will achieve together.
In the words of Mother Toland, “Onward and Upward!” Let’s do it Titans!
In academic excellence,
Mrs. Ayoka Snipes, Principal
