Apply to Eldorado Magnet for the 2025-2026 school year at apply.magnet.ccsd.net. You may apply to up to three programs.
Transportation is provided for students who live within the Eldorado transportation zone. Check eligibility by clicking the buttons below. In order to qualify for free college credits students must complete a variety of requirements and be enrolled in a specific program.
Some of the requirements consists of:
Passing the End-of-Program (EOP) Examine

Pass the Workforce-Readiness (WRS) Exam
Earn a 3.0 Grade-Point Average (GPA) within the specific CTE program according to the Academic Planning Tool
Enrolled in a credit bearing class at the institution awarding the free CTE college credit

Any student (not just magnet students) enrolled in a Career & Technical Education (CTE) program of study is considered a completer when:
ALL classes in the course sequence are passed with a 3.0 GPA or higher
The Workplace Readiness Exam is passed (75% or higher)
The End of Program Assessment for the program of study is passed (passing scores vary.)
In the past, graduates of the magnet program were given cords to wear at graduation. As of this year (Class of 2026,) we are revisiting what the magnet regalia will look like for students who successfully complete the magnet program. Successful completion of the magnet requires:
Successful completion of the Major program of study:
Earn a 3.0 GPA within the assigned program specific major program of study according to the Academic Planning tool.
Pass the End-of-Program (EOP) exam for the assigned program specific major program of study according to the Academic Planning tool.
Pass the Workforce Readiness (WRS) exam according to current test scores requirements.
Successful completion of the Minor program of study
Within the 2025-2026 the Eldorado Administration is considering revising the minor pathway to give students the option of completing more than one minor program of study. Students should work with the Magnet Coordinator, Magnet Recruiter, and Counselor to consider the best option for their minor(s) program of study(ies).
Participation in a Career & Technical Student Organization (CTSO) for a minimum of one year. Eldorado High School offers a variety of CTSOs consisting of:

A Career & Technical Student Organization (CTSO) is a co-curricular "club" that is associated with one or more of our CTE programs of study. All CTSOs are student-led organizations that provide opportunities for career and professional development, community service, leadership and competitive events. The CTSOs currently available to our students are:
Per the magnet contract, all CCSD magnet students agree to maintain an overall 2.0 GPA, no more than 10 absences (excused or unexcused) per semester, no D's or F's, no N's or U's, no excessive tardies, and no behavior infractions.
Any magnet student who fails to meet one or more of these criteria will be placed on Academic Probation, with the following procedure:
Probation conference will be scheduled/held with the student, parent(s), counselor and Magnet Coordinator, Magnet Recruiter, or Magnet Administer
Conditions of the probation will be outlined, in writing, which may include but are not limited to:
After school tutoring
Academic Opportunity Periods
Remedial courses
Summer school
Online credit retrieval
Community service
School beautification, school service
Other school-based requirement
Students who do not meet the terms of the probationary contract will be dismissed from the magnet at the end of the school year
Students who are not zoned for Eldorado must return to their home/zoned school

At this time students are not permitted to change their major program of studies.
Per the magnet contract, all CCSD magnet students agree to remain enrolled in the magnet for the entire year. Any student may withdraw from the magnet at the end of the school year. Magnet students who are NOT ZONED for Eldorado MUST remain enrolled in the magnet program to remain enrolled at Eldorado. Student-athletes who return to their zoned school are ineligible for the remainder of the school year in which they withdraw and for 180 school days in any sport as per NIAA (Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association).
If extenuating circumstances exist and the student needs to withdraw mid-year, please contact the Magnet Office.
