This one-year complementary course is designed for students who have successfully completed an Arts, Audio/Visual (A/V) Technology, and Communications or Information Technology pathway. This course provides students with in-depth study and skill development in the application of the 3D animation production process and motion techniques. Instructional practices incorporate integration of diversity awareness including appreciation of all cultures and their important contributions to society. The appropriate use of technology is an integral part of this course. This course fulfills one of the elective credits required for high school graduation.
This one-year course provides an introduction to the essential elements of game design and development. Areas of emphasis include a history of digital games, game genres, principles of design and animation, and a comprehensive survey of the digital game industry, including career paths and the interdependence of roles in game development. A study of non-digital games is included to explore the relationship between game mechanics, dynamics, and player experience. Instructional practices incorporate integration of diversity awareness including appreciation of all cultures and their important contributions to society. The appropriate use of technology is an integral part of this course. This course fulfills one of the Arts/Humanities/CTE credits required for high school graduation.

This one-year completer course is designed for students who have successfully completed Digital Game Development I. Areas of emphasis include game structure, level design, programming principles, and custom game mechanics. Students practice game design and development while gaining hands-on experience with industry game engines. Instructional practices incorporate integration of diversity awareness including appreciation of all cultures and their important contributions to society. The appropriate use of technology is an integral part of this course. This course fulfills one of the Arts/Humanities/CTE credits required for high school graduation and may count towards the College and Career Ready Flex Credit requirements for the Standard Diploma.

This one-year course provides students who have achieved all content standards in Digital Game Development an advanced study through investigation and in-depth research. The student collaborates with the supervising teacher to design and implement the topic of study. Coursework may include various work-based learning experiences such as internships and job shadowing, involvement in a school-based enterprise, completion of a capstone project, and/or portfolio development. Instructional practices incorporate integration of diversity awareness including appreciation of all cultures and their important contributions to society. The appropriate use of technology is an integral part of this course. This course fulfills one of the elective credits required for high school graduation and may be repeated.
