NUWA’s own training courses for water utility staff — developed and delivered by certified NUWA practitioner-trainers. Each course runs at your utility, for your team, using your own data.
Unlike the partner programmes collected on the Training Map, here NUWA is the organiser and is responsible for the content, the trainers and the results.
Trainers from the sector. Specialists from Ukrainian water utilities who completed the Train-the-Trainers School using the Dutch methodology and defended their own courses before World Water Academy instructors.
Target groups of up to 20 people. One group, one profile: laboratory staff, network engineers, technologists or managers. Every participant works, not just listens.
Learning on your own assets and data. Case studies are built on the client utility’s schemes, logs and indicators.
Verified results. Check questions after each block, a final test or exam, and a presentation of a solution for the participants’ own utility to its management.
Paid training is accountable training. A utility that invests in a course sets a clear task, selects participants and monitors implementation. NUWA reinvests the funds in trainer development and the training base.
Four modules developed and defended by 13 trainers in October 2026. Modules can be ordered separately or as a full course.
“From sampling to decision-making” — for laboratory staff, technologists and dispatchers: sampling and sample handling, action algorithm for quality deviations.
“Water sources and treatment technologies” — for technologists, treatment plant operators and sanitary laboratories: assessing your own treatment scheme, operating modes when source water quality changes.
“Non-revenue water” — for network engineers, customer services and managers: the utility’s water balance and measures to reduce losses.
“Uninterrupted water supply in emergencies” — for managers, chief engineers, power engineers and dispatchers: actions during power outages and damage, backup power supply.
Recruitment to the Train-the-Trainers School in wastewater is under way. Utilities can already submit a preliminary request for courses on sewer networks and pumping stations, wastewater treatment and sludge management.
Courses in other areas are designed on request, with the involvement of sector experts:
Drinking water treatment
Wastewater treatment and sludge management
Networks, hydraulics and non-revenue water
Energy efficiency and backup power
Laboratories, quality control and water safety plans
Instrumentation, SCADA, telemetry and GIS
Tariffs, economics and finance
Law, regulation and occupational safety
Asset management, investment and procurement
Crisis management, service continuity and cybersecurity
Customer service and communications
Management school, ESG and compliance
Diagnostics. The trainer discusses the task with the client, collects baseline data and adapts the case studies; participants take an entry test.
Training. On site at the utility, online or blended. Minimum theory, maximum work with real data and assets.
Assessment. Check questions, a final test or exam, and a presentation of the solution to management.
NUWA certificate — only for participants who pass the final assessment. The client receives a report on the group’s results.
Submit a request on the Contacts page or write to info@nuwacademy.org: training area, number of participants, preferred period. The NUWA team will propose a programme, trainers and dates; cooperation is formalised by an agreement with the Civic Union “NUWA”.
