Students explored the exciting world of broadcasting by visiting our local news station. They learned how news teams work together to keep communities informed about important events, weather, and stories happening around the world. Through this experience, students strengthened their learner profile as Global Contributors by understanding the importance of communication, collaboration, and staying informed about the world around them.
During Career Day, our class also had the opportunity to meet local EMTs and explore an ambulance! Students learned how EMTs respond to emergencies, provide medical care, and work together to help keep the community safe. This hands-on experience connected to our learner profile of being Global Contributors by teaching students the importance of compassion, teamwork, responsibility, and helping others in times of need.
Our class enjoyed learning from California State Park Patrol officers! Students discovered how park patrol officers help protect wildlife, care for natural habitats, and keep visitors safe while enjoying California’s beautiful parks. This experience supported our learner profile of being Global Contributors by helping students understand the importance of environmental stewardship, community service, and protecting the world around us.
