Reading

When we read, not only are we improving memory and empathy, but research has shown that it makes us feel better and more positive too. Science has shown that reading has some amazing health benefits, including helping with depression, cutting stress, and reducing the chances of developing Alzheimer’s later in life.

With this in mind, every study night between 6pm and 6:20pm O'Brien House sits down in the Library and completes silent reading. The boys are blessed that their house staff, as well as generous teahers such as Ms Gardener and Miss Brahim, and if they're lucky Mr Sep, will come in and will read with them.

The genre to this book is Adventure/Mystery because Felix goes on a journey to find his parents but doesn't know the truth about Adolf Hitler. Felix thinks that Hitler is a nice guy and he doesn't even know what's going on. One day, Felix finds a whole carrot in his soup in the orphanage that he's been living in, and believes it's a sign from his parents and that they are coming to get him but they never do...
