Publication Incentive Fund (Staff & Students)

Overview

The Publication Incentive Fund under AI Makers NU–MTCIT recognizes and rewards high-quality Artificial Intelligence research outputs published by National University staff and students in reputed journals and conferences.

Eligibility

• Open to NU staff and NU students only

• Publications must be primarily in the field of Artificial Intelligence

• AI must be the core contribution of the work, not a peripheral or tool-only application

• The paper must be published after September 2025

• First author must be NU-affiliated

• External collaborators are permitted; however, financial incentives apply only to NU-affiliated authors

Eligible Publication Types

• Q1 / Q2 Journals (WoS / Scopus) – NU Staff

• Q1 - Q4 Journals (WoS / Scopus) – NU Students

• Reputed International Conferences – NU Students
  (Scopus-indexed conferences published by Springer, IEEE, Elsevier, Wiley, or equivalent)

Required Documents

• Final published paper (PDF)

• Proof of indexing (WoS / Scopus / Conference publisher page)

• Proof of NU author affiliation

• DOI or official publisher link

• Applicants must upload a single comprehensive PDF report covering all the above details and a brief rationale/justification explaining why the application should be considered for the award through the designated Google Form under the APPLY menu.  

Note:

• The final eligibility decision is subject to review by the AI Makers Evaluation Committee.

• The final incentive decision is subject to approval by the AI Makers Steering Committee.
