Requirements for joining the Bargaining Team:
1) Are you willing and able to be on the 2025-2026 NTA Negotiations Committee?
2) Are you willing and able to work with the rest of the committee to prepare timely membership surveys and analyze the data they provide?
3) Are you able to attend the CTA Region 1 Leadership Conference, which will be held in Burlingame, Saturday, September 6th - 7th, 2025? The conference will have many sessions on best practices for bargaining and negotiations.
4) Are you willing to work closely with NTA's Executive Board and Chaz Garcia (our CTA Staff Member) to ensure the most successful negotiation and organizing campaign possible?
NTA Bylaws: Aricle XI, Section 6. Negotiations Team:
The Negotiations Team shall consist of five Active members of the Association and shall be appointed by the President with advice and consent of the Executive Board.
Replacement to fill vacancies shall be made by the same process as for the original appointment.
An effort shall be made to provide that members represent the various levels and areas of the certificated unit.
The Negotiations Team shall be repsonsible to the Executive Board for conducting negotiations, including the preparation of membership surveys, negotitation packages, and proposals.
