Daniel S. Healey, NHS & NPS Band Director
Daniel S. Healey is the Band Director at Narragansett High School, where he conducts the NHS Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Drumline, directs the middle school bands, and teaches class guitar. Additionally, Mr. Healey plays trumpet and sings with local band, "Hey 19", a Steely Dan Tribute.
Mr. Healey holds a Bachelor's in Music Education (Primary: voice), a Bachelor's in Music Performance (Primary: trumpet) and a Masters of Music in Instrumental Conducting, from the University of Rhode Island. At URI, Mr. Healey was inducted into the Pi Kappa Lambda Honor Society for exceptional academic and musical achievement.
Currently, Mr. Healey serves on the executive board of the RI Music Education Association. He has been instrumental in the creation of the RIMEA Honors Band Invitational Festival, which served middle school students across RI. He is frequently called upon throughout New England as a guest conductor, festival manager, and guest soloist. Recently, Mr. Healey has served as a guest conductor for the Vermont Jr. District Concert Band, RIMEA Honors Invitational Band, and the 2024 RIMEA Jr. All-State Band.

Sarah Prickel-Kane, NHS Choral & Theater Director
Sarah Prickel-Kane is the Choral Director at Narragansett High School, where she conducts three curricular choirs, directs the middle and high school musical theater productions, and teaches music and theater electives. For many years, Ms. Prickel-Kane was the Training Chorus Conductor for the esteemed Rhode Island Children's Chorus. Prior to her tenure in Narragansett, Ms. Prickel-Kane was the Music Teacher at West Glocester Elementary, and Artistic Director for the Carillon Women’s Chorus.
Ms. Prickel-Kane holds a B.M. in Music Education with honors from RI College, and a Masters of Music Education from Florida State University, where she studied music education and choral conducting under Drs. Kevin Fenton, Judy Bowers, and André Thomas. In her time at FSU, her masters research focused around inclusive strategies for transgender singers and members of the LGBTQ+ community in the secondary choral classroom.
Passionate about music education, Ms. Prickel-Kane has served on the executive board of the RI Music Education Association and as President for the RI American Choral Directors Association. She is frequently called upon in RI and MA as a guest conductor, festival clinician, presenter, adjudicator, and guest soloist. Recently, Ms. Prickel-Kane has served as a guest conductor for the RI Jr. All-State Treble Chorus, Southeastern Massachusetts Districts Jr. Treble Chorus,Northeastern Massachusetts Districts Treble Chorus, and Kentucky ACDA Children's Honor Choir. She has also served as a guest lecturer in music education at RI College, SUNY Fredonia, the Hartt School of Music, and at the 2022 New England Collegiate ACDA Conference. Additionally, Ms. Kane's Narragansett HS Advanced Treble Choir was selected to perform several prestigious music education conferences, including the ACDA Eastern Division Conference in Boston in 2022, and the NAfME Eastern Region Conference in Hartford in 2025.
