How to Become a Member 

1.  Log into your AccessUH account

2.  Click on the "Get Involved" icon

3.  Type 'GeoSociety' in the search bar 

4.  Click the blue 'join' button at the top left 

Your membership will not be complete until you submit payment dues.

$15 for one semester  or  $25 for one full year 

Payments can be made through Venmo or with cash (please contact Geosociety for more information)

AAPG Wildcatters


Founded in 1917, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists is currently the world's largest professional geological society. The membership of AAPG includes geologists, geophysicists, CEOs, managers, consultants, students and academicians. SEG Wavlets


SEG Wavelets is the University of Houston's SEG student chapter. It is devoted to promoting education in geophysics. It works with professional organizations, industry professionals, University of Houston faculty, and other student organizations to bring those students educational, social, and possible future employment opportunities. http://segwavelets.uh.edu/

AEG Organization


The University of Houston student chapter of the Association of Environmental and Engineering Geologists (AEG) is a student organization dedicated to education and advancements in environmental and engineering geology, geophysics, and hydrogeology. The activities of the chapter range from seminar series to field trips and outreach. AEG membership is free for students and is open to any interested student. AEG contributes to its members’ professional success and the public welfare by providing leadership, advocacy, and opportunities to be involved in applied research. http://aeg.uh.edu/

Houston Geological Society

The Houston Geological Society is an organization for those in the petroleum, energy, and environmental geosciences whose goal is to stimulate interest and promote advancement in geology for the Houston area. The HGS supports continuing education, networking, outreach to students, student scholarships and young professional activities. The Society strives to achieve these goals through technical meetings,  a monthly bulletin, a continuing education program, field trips, and two student scholarship funds.
