I grew up on a farm outside of Lawrence, Nebraska. I received my Bachelor's Degree from UNK in Business Education and my Master's from UNK in Learning, Design, and Technology with a School Librarian Concentration. I started working at Norris in the fall of 2020.

Prior to coming to Norris, I was an office manager for an insurance agent for 12 years and a "stay-at-home" mom for 5 years.  The library is a perfect mixture of my previous experiences and I am thoroughly enjoying this "chapter" of my life!

My husband, Tom, and I have lived in Hickman since 2004 and have three children: Kylie, Kennedy, and Luke, who attend Norris.  Also part of our family is Tucker, a goldendoodle, and Pete the Cat.  When we are not at practices or games with our kids, we enjoy walking the dog, heading to the lake, fishing, playing games and cards, and of course, reading!

Ms. Heather has been in the elementary library since 2021. Prior to that she served as a special education paraprofessional.
