Writing:

Every week or every other week, we will be working on a writing piece in class. These writing pieces will focus on our genre and writing skill of the week while also incorporating our grammar skills being taught each week.

Most of the students' writing pieces will be sent home at the end of each quarter in their writing portfolios!

Grammar:

Each week, a new grammar skill will be taught. The students will practice the skill each day and have a quiz reviewing their knowledge each Friday. Scores from the quizzes will be written on their grammar packets and will be sent home at the end of each unit.
