Course Description- this course explores topics including:

The Nature of Life – the science of biology and the scientific method.

Ecology – the biosphere, ecosystems and populations, human impact on the planet.

Cells – structure and function, growth and division, photosynthesis, and cellular respiration.

Genetics – introduction to genetics, genetic inheritance, DNA and RNA, genetic mutations.

Evolution – Darwin’s theory of evolution, evolution of populations, history of life.
