North Syracuse Central School District Board Approves Resolution for December 8 Bond Vote

Voters will be asked to approve the December 8 bond vote with no tax increase for $64.96 million of facility improvements (Click the link to read the article)

On December 8, voters will be asked to consider $64.95 million worth of construction upgrades to Cicero-North Syracuse High School, Cicero Elementary, Lakeshore Road Elementary, and Smith Road Elementary School. We call this project Structured for Success! because District leaders have worked painstakingly with our architects, the Board of Education, and the State Education Department to design a proposal that would not impact our District’s tax rate. That’s right: this bond issue will not increase local taxes.

To learn more about the project, look to the navigation items at left!

If we haven’t answered all of your questions, please feel free to email Public Information Officer Laurie Cook at LCook@nscsd.org.

There are 3 propositions:

A ‘no tax increase’ bond proposition will make significant building improvements to three of our elementary schools and the high school.

A long-desired community pool facility will be presented in a second proposition.

And a third question will ask voters to allow the District to build up savings to apply to future projects.
