WHAT I LEARNED
Music Theory. I learned the basics of music theory and basic scales which I could apply to my music production. This mainly helped me try to come up with basic chord progressions.
Sampling. This is the process of taking an audio sample and flipping it into your own, a thing many producers and artists do in the music industry. I learned how to use a sampler in my software and how to pitch it and change its tempo to create a whole new vibe.
I learned about producing different genres. I learned how varying instruments and tempos create different types of music. The 2 main new genres I leaned into were Hyper pop and EDM: both of which I had never tried producing before.

MY ACTION
The purpose of my post will be to encourage people to be creative and take chances with music. I want to convey how easy it is to start, and that they should not be too scared to try. Additionally, I want to convey that making music/something artistic from scratch brings joy. It would be too hard to show the techniques I learned or the process of making a song in a single Instagram post, so I am making it a broader universal message. I will include an image of me having fun making a song and images of software to introduce music production to the audience.
