My idea is to format my website into two main pages: "Exercise Science" and "Nutrition for Muscle Growth."Â
I have divided the content into subtopics on these individual pages to make my website an easy read. I have not translated my research to these pages yet, but, for Exercise Science, I plan to include an introduction (what exactly is exercise science?) and a thorough explanation of the factors that lead to muscle growth. For my nutrition page, I plan to divide the page into two subtopics as well. One will be about the necessary components of a nutritious diet, and the other will be about some specific foods recommended for muscle growth.
My best source of information is a website by the College of St. Scholastica (https://www.css.edu/about/blog/what-is-exercise-physiology-clearing-up-the-confusion-about-this-multifaceted-career). It has provided me with a foundational overview of exercise science. It is an easy read and goes straight to the point. I have learned the distinction between exercise science, exercise physiology, sports medicine, and kinesiology. Exercise science and exercise physiology are often considered synonymous with each other, but exercise science encompasses more topics like physical education.
What components other than protein contribute to muscle growth? How impactful is protein compared to other things like vitamins and fats?
