What I have achieved so far:
I have learned so much about dogs already that I never knew before. Something I found most interesting is the difference between how larger and smaller dogs act. I learned that larger dogs are much more well behaved and they are also way easier to train. For example, smaller dogs are less obedient, meaning that they do not easily respond to basic commands like sit, down, or stay. If your dog is like this, that might mean that they had inconsistent training. If you rarely trained your dog, this may cause them to not pay attention to yoru commands or what you tell them to do. On the other hand, according to multiple articles I have read, larger dogs are better behaved and a lot eaiser to train. These articles describe how larger dogs tend to have fewer behavioral problems and will most likely be much more obident then smaller dogs.
Here is a video I watched that I found very interesting! In this video, it described how if you have a dog who might not want to listen to your commands, try taking your time and going through the training process a little bit slower. This will allow the dog to have time to think about what you are telling them to do, and eventually they will pick up the pace and you will be able to provide them with more and more commands.
New Questions I have:
When a police dog is searching for something bad, how do they know what to search for? How does the trainer train the dog to smell different things like drugs or bombs?
