About Mrs. Nash
Our family on a Bermuda cruise this summer
Hello! I'm Mrs. Nash, and I am the physical education teacher here at Neary School. I grew up outside of Providence, Rhode Island. I went to Lincoln School in Providence for my middle school and high school years. After Lincoln, I stayed in Providence to attend Brown University where I majored in Health & Society and played Varsity lacrosse.
After my college graduation, I moved to Brooklyn, New York where I taught Health Education and Physical Education at Poly Prep Country Day School. I also coached JV Tennis, Varsity Squash, and Varsity Lacrosse. I left Poly Prep after 3 years to get my Master's Degree in Elementary Education and Child Development at Tufts University.
This is my 27th year teaching at Neary, but my nineteenth year teaching physical education here. Prior to teaching physical education, I taught 4th grade at Neary for 8 years. I was the Varsity Girls' Lacrosse Coach at Algonquin for 5 years, and I have coached lacrosse for Mass Elite Club since 2000. My husband John and I have two children. Our son Charlie is 18, and he is a freshman at Boston College. Our daughter Sadie is 16, she is a junior at St. Mark's School, and she recently committed to Dartmouth College to play lacrosse. In my free time, I walk with our Bernese Mountain Dog Evie & our Golden Retriever Stewie, I chill out with our cat CJ, bake, and read. I ran the Boston Marathon in 2001 - a goal I had been striving to accomplish for many years :) I try to live a healthy and active life and promote that through my teaching!
