Highlights of the Week’s Events:
Tuesday, October 22: The Discovery Museum in Acton will host Backyard and Beyond: Working in the Garden, where participants can help prepare a garden for fall, including pruning, harvesting, and cleanup.
Wednesday, October 23: MassBay Community College will host a panel with early-career STEM professionals from 1:00-2:00 pm, available virtually. Later, the MetroWest STEM Education Network will offer See Yourself in the Green Workforce at Framingham State University from 3:30-6:00 pm, allowing participants to network with green economy employers.
Thursday, October 24: A Life Sciences workforce development panel by the MetroWest STEM Education Network will be held in Westborough from 8:30-10:30 am, followed by Exploring Hand Tools at the Discovery Museum from 2:00-4:00 pm, offering hands-on woodworking.
Friday, October 25: Framingham State University’s Planetarium will present Atlas of a Changing Earth at 6:00 pm, featuring satellite imagery and animations on climate change. Pre-registration is required.
