The Regional Social Development Committee conducted its CY 2026 First Quarter Meeting on January 27, 2026 at Kalikasan Hall, 3rd Floor, DEPDev IX Building, Regional Government Center, Balintawak, Pagadian City.
The meeting highlighted discussions on the RSDC IX CY 2025 Accomplishment Report, Application for Membership of the Mindanao State University-Buug in RSDC IX for 2025-2028, Preliminary Regional Development Report 2025, Draft RDC IX Guidelines for the Formulation of the Zamboanga Peninsula FY 2028 Annual Investment Program, and the Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project: Covering Nutrition Efforts for Our Children's Tomorrow (PMNP CONNECT) Phase 2. Seven resolutions were passed during the meeting.
The Regional Social Development Committee conducted its CY 2025 fourth quarter regular meeting on November 11, 2025 at at Kalikasan Hall, 3rd Floor, DEPDev IX Building, Regional Government Center, Balintawak, Pagadian City.
The meeting highlighted discussions on the updated Regional Development Investment Program 2023-2028 of social sector agencies and State Universities and Colleges, the creation of an Education Committee, the comprehensive report of the National Housing Authority IX’s housing projects, the Employees’ Compensation Commission programs, and the full range of Commission on Higher Education scholarship programs. Twenty-four resolutions were passed during the meeting.
The Regional Social Development Committee conducted its CY 2025 3rd quarter regular meeting and reorganization on August 27, 2025 at Kalikasan Hall, 3rd Floor, DEPDev IX Building, Regional Government Center, Balintawak, Pagadian City.
The meeting highlighted discussions on the acceptance of the Private Sector Representatives of the Regional Social Development Committee IX for 2025-2028, the acceptance of the National Museum of the Philippines-Mindanao National Museums and the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos IX as regular members of RSDC IX for 2025-2028, election of RSDC IX Chairperson and Co-Chairperson for 2025-2028, the membership of National Youth Commission Zamboanga Area Office and Philippine Information Agency IX to the Regional Development Council IX for 2025–2028, Chapters 4, 5, and 6 of the State of the Economy: Zamboanga Peninsula Regional Development Plan 2023–2028 Midterm Update, the proposed construction of Reinforced Concrete 50 Linear Meter Seawall with Sheet Piles and Concrete Fence, Phase 1 at Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology Main Campus, the membership of the Commission on Population and Development IX as a Special Non-Voting Member of the Regional Development Council IX for 2025–2028, and the 2025 RDC Week Celebration. Eleven resolutions were passed during the meeting.
The Regional Social Development Committee conducted its CY 2025 second quarter regular meeting on May 5, 2025 at Chandler Suites, Pagadian City.
The meeting highlighted discussions on the terms of reference for the reorganization of RSDC IX, the Project for Learning Upgrade Support and Decentralization, Reducing Food Insecurity and Undernutrition with Electronic Vouchers, the Expansion of Bangsamoro Umpungan sa Nutrisyon Program to Katribo sa Nutrisyon Program, and the FY 2027 Annual Investment Programs of the social sector regional line agencies, state universities and colleges, and TESDA-supervised schools. Twenty-three resolutions were passed during the meeting.
The Regional Social Development Committee conducted its CY 2025 first quarter regular meeting on February 17, 2025 at the Conference Room, 2nd Floor, Chandler Suites, Pagadian City.
The meeting highlighted discussions on the following items: (1) CY 2024 RSDC IX Accomplishment Report; (2) RDC IX Guidelines for the Formulation of the ZamPen FY 2027 Annual Investment Program; (3) Panahon ng Pagkilos (PH Community Resilience Project); (4) RDC XII Resolution No. 231, s. 2024, “Requesting the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PHIC) to Come up with an Incentive Package for Regular Paying Members who have not availed of insurance benefits in the last five years”; (5) Summary of FY 2026 Budget Proposal of the Social Sector; (6) Creation and recognition of National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) Field Offices in Pagadian City, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, and Sibuco, Zamboanga del Norte; (7) Construction and installation of a new NCMF Regional Office building in the Regional Government Center, Balintawak, Pagadian City; and (8) Accelerating Expansion and Sustainability of Health Services for Universal Health Care project. Eight resolutions were passed during the meeting.
The Regional Social Development Committee IX conducted its CY 2024 4th quarter regular meeting on November 07, 2024, at Badjao Function Room 3, Garden Orchid Hotel, Zamboanga City.
The meeting highlighted discussions on the following items: (1) Preliminary CY 2024 Zamboanga Peninsula Regional Development report of the social sector; (2) Zamboanga Peninsula Regional Physical Framework Plan 2025-2055; (3) PuroKalusugan Initiative (4) 8-Point Action Agenda as the Medium-Term Strategy of the Health Sector for 2023-2028; (5) Bagong Urgent Care and Ambulatory Services Center; and (6) Presentation of agency programs and projects. Eight resolutions were passed during the meeting.
The Regional Social Development Committee (RSDC) IX conducted its CY 2024 3rd quarter regular meeting on August 19, 2024, at Kalikasan Assembly Hall, 3rd Floor, National Economic and Development Authority Regional Office IX Building, President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Government Center, Balintawak, Pagadian City.
The meeting highlighted discussions on the following items: (1) The social issues and concerns emanating from the 15th Regional Development Council Private Sector Representatives National Convention on April 23-25, 2024; (2) Climate Action Framework of ChildFund Philippines; (3) Social Security System Citizen’s Charter on benefit claims process/es; and (4) Mechanics of the 2024 RDC Week Celebration activities in September 2024. Fourteen resolutions were passed during the meeting.
The Regional Social Development Committee (RSDC) IX conducted its CY 2024 2nd quarter regular meeting on May 16, 2024, at Garden Orchid Hotel, Zamboanga City and on May 21, 2024, via Zoom videoconference.
The 2-day meeting highlighted discussions on the following items: (1) RDC Caraga Resolution No. 67-A, s. 2023, “Supporting Senate Bill No. 1979, ‘An Act Providing a National Policy in Preventing Adolescent Pregnancies, Institutionalizing and Social Protection for Adolescent Parents, and Providing Funds Therefor”; (2) RDC Caraga Resolution No. 67-B, s. 2023, “Supporting House Bill No. 9420, 'Amending Section 488 (A) of Republic Act No. 7160, “The Local Government Code of 1991,’ to Mandate the Appointment of Population Officers in All Provinces, Cities, and Municipalities”’; (3) DepEd IX response to RDC IX SRCSDG issues and recommendations; (4) Review of the ZamPen FY 2026 Annual Investment Program of social sector agencies and State Universities and Colleges; (5) Social Security Protection Coverage of Job Order and Contract of Service Workers in the Government; (6) Top 15 priority programs and projects of the social sector in the ZamPen FY 2026 Annual Investment Program; (7) G1/Zero Open Defecation Certification of cities and municipalities in Zamboanga Peninsula; and (8) 2024 RDC Week Celebration. Twenty-three resolutions were passed during the 2-day meeting.
The Regional Social Development Committee conducted its CY 2024 first quarter regular meeting on 12 February 2024 at the Kalikasan Assembly Hall, 3rd Floor, NEDA IX Building, Regional Government Center, Balintawak, Pagadian City. The meeting highlighted discussions on the following items: (1) the RSDC IX CY 2023 Accomplishment Report; (2) Panahon ng Pagkilos: Community-Driven Climate Action; (3) Zamboanga Peninsula Priority Programs for Higher Education for Academic Year 2023-2024 to 2027-2028; (4) Philippine Population and Development Plan of Action 2023-2028; (5) Creation of Zamboanga Peninsula Emerging and Re-emerging Infectious Diseases (ERID) Inter-agency Collaboration Committee; (6) Summary of Social Sector Programs and Projects in the FY 2025 Budget; (7) Infrastructure for Safer and Resilient Schools Project; (8) Change of scope of the Philippine Multi-sectoral Nutrition Project; and (9) RDC IX Guidelines for the Formulation of the ZamPen FY 2026 Annual Investment Program.
Nine (9) resolutions were passed during the meeting. It was attended by 23 (11 males and 12 females) out of 42 Committee regular members.
Team RSDC has emerged victorious as the Overall Champion during the 2023 RDC Week Celebration on 25-26 September 2023.
