Participation in Class

Performance in Concerts - Choir is a performance-based class making our concert a significant part of the class and a part that we take great pride in. Absences from concerts will only be permitted in cases of illness or severe crisis situations. It is the student's responsibility to notify Mr. Wood of their absence. Please fill out the form on the Absence Request page in the event of an absence. An unexcused absence will result in a loss of all points for that performance and could lead to removal from choir.

Participation in Class - Following classroom rules and actively participating in class will give all of the points for this portion of the grade. It's as simple as that! Show up, sing, have fun!

Scales Tests - Scales tests will take place in class once a quarter. Scales will be something that will be practiced in class. While we may not always sing straight through a scale every day we will work on skills that will strengthen scale singing.

Parts Test - Parts test are part of an accountability check for the choir. Like mem checks in band, these will show who has put in the work into learning their part. Remember that for us it takes 100% of us, giving 100%, 100% of the time to put on our best performance.
