Japanese 3 (J3)
In J3, students will focus on the following topics: Body & Health, Festivals & Annual Events, Foods & Cooking, Travel & Sightseeing, and Nature & Environmental Issues. J3 is based on the Adventures in Japanese "AIJ" 2. Students will use AIJ to support their language study according to the themes of the J3 curricula. In addition, ancillary materials could be drawn from Yōkoso: Continuing with Contemporary Japanese, Adventures in Japanese 3, Genki II and Japanese in MangaLand 3 to provide topical support at a variety of levels in order to meet the needs of all the students in the class. Students in J3 will focus mostly on recognition of kanji, which will enable students to interpret authentic materials and choose kanji when typing in Japanese.
