Mr. Michael Niedziejko, director of Bands for New Providence High School since 1995, is a graduate of West Chester University. He served as the Drum Major of "The Incomparable Golden Rams Marching Band" for two years and as student director for one year. He also marched with the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps and served as Drum Major of the corps, a perennial world championship finalist, in 1993.
Mr. Niedziejko was recognized by the 2001 New Jersey Governor's Teacher Recognition program. He was named New Providence High School and District Teacher of the Year. He was again named New Providence High School Teacher of the Year in 2020.
Mr. Niedziejko also received the Sanford Teacher Recognition Program in 2018/2019. Award recipients are selected based on their enthusiasm for teaching, empathy, warmth toward all students, ability to foster positive relationships with all students, creation of a positive learning environment, and recognition of student strengths.
Mr. Niedziejko makes his home in Flemington, New Jersey, with his wonderful wife of 29 years and their family.
