Mr. Michael Niedziejko has served as Director of Bands for New Providence High School since 1995. A graduate of West Chester University, Mr. Niedziejko was the Drum Major of "The Incomparable Golden Rams Marching Band" for two years and served as student director for one year. Mr. Niedziejko marched with the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps and was Drum Major of the perennial world championship finalist corps in 1993.
Mr. Niedziejko was recognized by the New Jersey Governor's Teacher recognition program in 2001 where he was named New Providence High School and District Teacher of the Year. He was also named New Providence High School Teacher of the Year in 2020.
Mr. Niedziejko was also the recipient of the Sanford Teacher Recognition Program in 2018/2019. Award recipients are selected concerning enthusiasm for teaching; empathy and warmth towards all students; fostering positive relationships with all students; creating a positive learning environment; and recognizing student strengths.
Mr. Niedziejko makes his home in Flemington, New Jersey with his wonderful wife of 26 years and their 4 remarkably beautiful children, and three dogs.
