Mitten Song
Thumbs in the thumb place fingers are together
This is the song we sing in mitten weather.
When it is cold it doesn’t matter whether mittens of wool or made of finest leather
This is the song we sing in mitten weather
Thumb in the thumb place fingers are together.
Little Snowman
I have a little snowman
He is so fat and round
I made him from a snowball
I rolled upon the ground
I gave him eyes, a nose, and mouth
A nice warm scarf of red
I put some buttons on his coat
A hat upon his head
Watch him as he melts to the ground
Cookie Poem
Five round cookies as yummy as can be.
The first cookie said, “Please eat me!”
The second cookie said, “I have lots of chocolate chips.”
The third cookie said, “I’ll taste good on your lips!”
The fourth cookie said, “I’m right here on the pan.”
The fifth cookie said, “Find me if you can!”
Then “Ding!” went the timer, ‘cause the cookies were done.
We ate all the cookies and had lots of fun!
Ten Little Snowmen
Ten little snowmen dressed up fine;
This one melted, and then there were nine.
Nine little snowmen standing tall and straight;
This one melted, and then there were eight.
Eight little snowmen white as clouds in heaven;
This one melted, and then there were seven.
Seven little snowmen with arms made of sticks;
This one melted, and then there were six.
Six little snowmen looking so alive;
This one melted, and then there were five.
Five little snowmen with mittens from the store;
This one melted, and then there were four.
Four little snowmen beneath a green pine tree;
This one melted, and then there were three.
Three little snowmen tying up their shoe;
This one melted, and then there were two.
Two little snowmen standing in the sun;
This one melted, and then there was one.
One little snowman started to run,
But he melted away, and then there were none.
