Jason Sepkowski - Coach Sepkowski currently is an 8th grade social studies teacher in his 24th year teaching at the North Pocono Middle School. Coach Sepkowski is a 1993 graduate of North Pocono High School, and participated in football and track as a NP athlete. As a senior at North Pocono, Coach Sepkowski garnered a gold medal in the shot put and silver medal in the javelin at the the AAA District II championship meet. Bringing over twenty four years of coaching experience in track, specifically the throwing events, Coach Sepkowski has mentored several PIAA AAA state medalists and former and current collegiate athletes. Coach Sepkowski has also coached the school record holders in the boys shot put, discus, and javelin and in the girls discus. Coach Sepkowski guided the boys Track and Field team to consecutive Lackawanna League Division 2 championships in 2013 and 2014, and most recently guided the team to a conference and PIAA District 2 Championships in 2021 for the boys and a girls Lackawanna League Division 2 Championship in 2015, plus a Robert Spagna Lackawanna League meet Championship for the Boys team in 2016. 2022 marks the tenth year for Coach Sepkowski as head Boys and Girls Track and Field coach after spending time as an assistant on the staffs of former head coaches Thomas Chesko and the late Walter Godek.

ASSISTANT COACHES

Thomas Chesko, Jr. - Coach Chesko is a former standout athlete in Track and Football at Valley View High School. Coach Chesko has also coached several state caliber and collegiate athletes at Lakeland High School and will be on staff at North Pocono for his fifth year, working with the sprinters and hurdlers in 2022. Currently, Coach Chesko works as a special education teacher at NP Middle School.

Kevin Healey- Coach Healey is an 8th grade English teacher in the Middle School and has been coaching track for the past fifteen years. Coach Healey previously handled the sprinting events, relays, and middle distance races for the staff, but has been working with the distance program starting for the past five years.

Ryan Jones - Coach Jones is former North Pocono Track and Field athlete that excelled in the jumping events, a position he is currently coaching while on staff for his eleventh year. Coach Jones has experience as a volunteer coach in the past and is a 6th grade social studies teacher in the Middle School. Coach Jones will also be assisting with the jumping and sprinting events.

Brian Koelsch - Coach Koelsch is in his ninth year coaching after helping out the Trojans' in the pole vault for two years in '09 and '10. Coach Koelsh ran Track and pole vaulted at Lackawanna Trail in high school. A Millersville grad, Koelsch is in his fourteenth year teaching Wood Manufacturing at North Pocono High School. Coach Koelsch oversees the pole vaulting in the Track program.

Sara Lentowski - Coach Lentowski is in her fifth year coaching as the Head junior Hi Girls Track and Field Coach. Coach Lentowski is a former NP Track athlete herself, excelling in the throwing events. Coach Lentowski currently teaches in NPI as a special education teacher.

Dan McShaffery- Coach McShaffery is former North Pocono grad and former shot put record holder. Coach McShaffery is in his ninth year as a throws coach after helping out for various times in previous years. Coach McShaffery currently teaches History in the high school.

Jared Myers - Coach Myers is back after taking a year off, to help the program as a volunteer assistant. Coach Myers was a longtime junior high boys coach, establishing the foundations for success for many of the athletes at the Varsity level. Coach Myers brings a wealth of knowledge as a track and field coach, specializing in the high jump among other events. Coach Myers currently teaches int he high school as a history teacher.

Marc Gaughan - Coach Gaughan brings a wealth of experience to the NP Track and Field staff. In over his 30 years of track coaching experience, Coach Gaughan as been a head coach or assistant at the Varsity level, coaching all aspects of the sport. In his tenure as a former NP Girls Head Track and Field coach, his teams won several league championships and he has produced numerous individual district champions, including a number of NP record holders. Coach Gaughan was a former Guidance Counselor in the district at the Middle School level.

Emma Hamer - Our newest coach is Coach Hamer. Coach Hamer is a former athlete in Track & Field and Cross Country at Wallenpaupack Area High School. As a recent Penn State Kinesiology graduate, this will be her first year working with the Track & Field team as a volunteer assistant. Coach Hamer currently teaches Health & Physical Education at NP High School.
