Each day during the summer you can write down a special memory for the day. This will be a fun way to practice your writing. You can use the paper attached or start a journal of your own to have your memories all in one place.
Remember when you are writing to begin each sentence with a capital letter, put spaces between the words and use an ending mark at the end of each sentence.
As you write, remember to listen to all the letter sounds in the word. You also can use the high frequency words you have learned so well this year. They are attached here for you to use as you write.
This is a list of the high frequency words we have learned this year. You can practice them daily and/or use them in your writing.
If you are having a tough time thinking about what to write about, you can open the document and find prompts to use. To access the prompts, click on the arrow at the top right of the document or copy the link below to open the pages in a new tab. Now, you can print the pages to write your responses or even read the prompt and tell someone what your response would be.
The first group of prompts give you a sentence starter but if you scroll down to page 14 there are pages with the prompt but no sentence starter. You will get to answer the prompt all on your own.
