Nutrition
Drink plenty of water. Staying hydrated is one of the easiest and most beneficial ways to stay healthy. Choose plain water over soda, energy drinks, or juice.
Eat well. Refer to the My Plate guidelines to make the best choices for each meal.
Think about some ways that you can be part of meal planning and cooking at home. Here are some recipes for younger students and teenagers. Always ask an adult for help first!
Movement and Exercise
Get moving! If you are sitting for a long time, either reading, at the computer, or in front of the TV, take 20 minute breaks and walk for 5 minutes.

Mindfulness
Explore the Mindfulness Room a little bit each day and try out the activities together! The activities include games, breathing exercises, stretching poses and sequences, meditations, read alouds, and craft ideas. Take your time, experiment, and revisit the activities that you enjoy the most! We hope that these activities are an opportunity for both children and adults to find joy, laughter, and fun. Refer to the last two slides for a helpful “room key” that explains what is available for students to experience.
