The SMART Bus Summer Experience 2018
During the summer of 2018, NPS was able to provide the SMART Bus Summer Experience through a grant. This three week program toured all over the district and town, visiting schools and camps to provide literacy and technology experiences to students. SMART TECHNOLOGIES
Recently, SMART® Technologies (Manufacturer of the SMART Board) became involved in the Innovator Project. They were so impressed with the concept, they have offered to pay for the entire retrofit of the bus and also outfit it with the latest cutting-edge technology. Their creative team is currently developing the bus wrap and designing the interior of the bus for a launch during the 2017-18 school year. Here is the latest proposal from SMART.
THE LAUNCH AT THE EXTRAVAGANZA
Our secret is out! The "NPS Smart bus" will be ready for our students and the Newington community this fall! On July 15th, at the Newington Parks and Recreation Life. Be In It. Extravaganza we were so excited to share a preview of our new mobile technology lab with the community before it is fully renovated, filled with donated technology, and decked out by SMART Technologies.
