The Mission of the Newington Public Schools Library Media Department is to ensure every student acquires the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to be lifelong readers, critical thinkers, educated advocates, and informed participants in our society.

This is accomplished in a dynamic physical and virtual space that provides and promotes equitable and timely access to diverse resources that aid in raising marginalized voices.
