Language
Language includes writing and grammar. We practice one language concept a week. We do this practice in class. We often do short writing prompts in class, and every sixth week we do a writing week! Reading consists of so much more than fluency! In reading this year we focus on character traits, their thoughts and decision making, and their voice. We also focus on author's purpose, text structure, and citing evidence.
