International Dark Sky Week Program just added! Second program added!
BREAKING NEWS: The Dark Skies program on April 9, 2026 at 7:30 pm has completely filled up!!! As a result a second program has been added at 6:15 pm.

This year Internation Dark sky Week will be April 13-20, 2026.
The borough of Lansdale will once again be participating in this awesome event.
Join us in the planetarium the week before for our Dark Skies program to learn how light pollution affects how we see the night sky around us. We will take a look at the current night sky, highlighting the major celestial objects that we can currently see, while also noting how light pollution changes what objects we can see with our eyes.

The North Penn Planetarium is located at North Penn High School in Lansdale, PA. The main purpose of the planetarium is to educated the students of the North Penn School district in the field of astronomy. However, it also serve the community as a whole by offering programs open to the public and private groups by request.
The planetarium has a 30 foot dome and seats a maximum of 57 people. It is powered by a SSIA DigitalSky DarkMatter system that utilizes a Barco F80 Laser Projector and a fish-eye lens to produce 2.4k fulldome images.
