History and Geography

History: Our current unit is Industrialization and Urbanization, followed by World War I.

Geography: At the end of the year, scholars will take a test where they locate each and every one of our fifty states on a map. The next region is the Midwest.

Oratory

Check the Oratory tab for the current assignment. There will be one assignment each quarter. Watch the planner for due dates.

Grammar

Scholars are focusing on diagrams of sentences with indirect objects. Next we will study linking verbs.

Spelling

We analyze words during the week, and there is a test each Friday. Lists are sent home on Mondays.

Writing

Our final project is a How-to set of directions and a demonstration. The demo may be done live or recorded. Watch for further information from the homeroom teacher.
