Routines are so important in order to establish a successful learning environment. Each day, we will have a different warm up activity that coordinates with the unit we are in. Students should be prepared to enter the classroom and start their "do now" after turning in any homework to the in-bin. This schedule will be the following:
Monday: This Day in History Activities
Tuesday: Theme of the Week Blooket
Wednesday: Historical Figure of the Week
Thursday: Theme of the Week Crossword
Friday: icivics Activities!
I do not allow reassessment for homework and classwork, however I am more than happy to allow for reassessment of quizzes and projects. I will take the average of these two grades and plug them into Alma! I always encourage students to try again if something did not go well the first time to ensure they have mastery of the concept!
I care so much about your success, and part of being a successful student is turning in your work on time. If it is late, half credit is the most you can get on the assignment. After the unit has been completed, they will have to go in as 0s. If you know you will be out, I encourage you to discuss it with me ahead of time so you do not fall behind. Sometimes people get sick or life gets in the way, so unexpected absences occur- that's okay too! Find me the next day and we will make a plan together on how to catch up. Most likely, your assignment will be due the next class period.
