Artstangs/Art National Honor Society
Artstangs is open to all Norwood High students who are interested in Visual Arts. We make murals, volunteer, community service, we teach younger artists, and add to the artistic community of NHS, Norwood and the larger community. National Art Honor has three areas of focus: artistic scholarship, character and service. In order to be a member, you must be currently enrolled in art and have taken at least one year of art with an B average in Art and passing all of your other classes. Marching Band and Color Guard
Mr. Conant sconant@norwood.k12.ma.us
The Norwood High School Mustang Marching Band and Color Guard is a competitive extra-curricular activity open to all interested students in grade 8 through 12. Students will have the opportunity to experience and perform music and drill designed specifically for the NHS Marching Band. Participation in the Marching Band & Color Guard is determined by recommendation of the Norwood High School Band Director. Students enrolled in this ensemble will be required to attend a week of marching band camp, and all out-of-school rehearsals and performances. In addition, a student’s attitude and behavior must meet the standards set by the Band Director and Director of Fine Arts. Performances include MICCA & NESBA competitions, select NHS football games and community parades.

Traditionally in begins in Summer, The Fall/Winter production, and our Spring production. Auditions are open to all students and it is not required that students take a drama course in order to try out for the plays. The plays change each season.
