Tech Tools For Students

The Norwood Public Schools has access to a number of technology tools for their students. Most tools that students have access to are located on the "student" dropdown menu of the Norwood Public Schools Websites. Some schools have invested in their own technology subscriptions for their students. Teachers have student account information for the tools their students have access to and use during the day. Below is a partial list of tools that students have access to during the regular school day.

NPS Classlink Cloud Launchpad - The NPS Classlink Cloud Launchpad allows teachers and students to access all of their apps in the same dashboard. Some of the apps can be set up as single sign on apps which allow users to sign in without needing to put in their password each time. Check out this video tutorial on how to sign in and use the system.

Google Classroom - Google Classroom allows for teachers to post links, resources and assignments. Students can hand in their assignments to teachers online. Teachers in grades 3-12 have access to Google Classroom.

Google Drive - Google Drive is the system that all students use to create and store digital files in the district. Google Drive allows students to create and collaborate on documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. It allows students and teachers to share files with one another digitally.

Kami - Kami is a chrome extension that allows one to edit a PDF

NoRedInk - NoRedInk is an online grammar and writing curriculum in which teachers can assign students topics and exercises to help them become better writers. The Norwood Public Schools uses NoRedInk in grades 6-12. Please contact your ELA teacher for information about your account.

Freckle Math - Freckle Math allows students in grades K-8 to practice and solve math questions based on their level. Students receive their Freckle Math login information from their classroom teacher.

Freckle ELA - Freckle ELA allows teachers to assign reading passages and perform word study exercises based on the reading level of the student. Students receive their Freckle ELA login information from their classroom teacher.

Savvas - Savvas allows elementary students access to the Savvas enVision math curriculum and myView ELA curriculum. It contains videos of concepts and an electronic version of the math textbook. Teachers can assign activities for students through the Savvas Realize platform. Some middle school students also access their science textbooks through Savvas.

Big Ideas Math - Big Ideas Math allows some middle school and high school students into their math textbooks online. Please contact your math teachers for information about your account.
