Thanks to Margarita's Restaurant and their visiting Artist Program students participated in an interactive demonstration with Porfirio Gutierrez, a Zapotec Weaver. He taught students the ancient practices of weaving used by his ancestors and preserved by Porfirio and his family today.

The bottom two slides show students listening intently to guest speaker, Mr. Peter Le Roux from Hammer and Chisel and the Elkanah School in South Africa.
Through IEARN, students created holiday cards and sent them to 7 different countries around the world. We then received them in return!
Participating countries include: India, Taiwan, Belarus, Slovenia
Students traveled with Youth Futures International to partiicpate in their Sportsmanship through Soccer program.
3 Rising Seniors spent a week at St. Mark's Global Citizenship Institute in Southboro, MA. They are using their experience in the Institute as a springboard for their Spring, 2017 Global Exploration Project.
One of our students received a scholarship to attend the Future Doctor's Conference in Lowell, MA.
