We bring all the in-person components to London, ON - many are held at the BMO Centre, 295 Rectory St.📍
Course seasons run from February to April annually, + a few in October, to help kick off Outdoor & Indoor Soccer seasons!
To coach Rep. Soccer in Ontario, you will need to complete all 8 points of the "Full Safe Sport Roster" listed here ↙️:
(including 4b!)
On this site, we provide all the links and information for completing #2 through #8 to walk you through becoming qualified. They are numbered corresponding to the Canada Soccer chart above and listed below in order with notes and links.
#1 - Please contact the local police for the city or area listed on your driver's license or legal home address for help. Londoners should visit LPS and find their Police Check page. Most can be mailed to your home or emailed.
Training Login, also called Sport U. This is where you use your "Key" to complete your online components.
If you do not already have a Key, you can purchase one through the CSA link provided in the following dropdown labelled "CSA Online Course Store."
Once logged into SportU include your correct Club Name & DISTRICT. Most EMDSL /London area clubs are in EMSA District.
If you don't know, you can either look it up or contact your club.
We are finding that coaches do not receive course credit when this step is not completed accurately, and it is much harder to UNDO than to do well!
The online components are broken into modules you can complete gradually, if needed.
You can return to Sport U anytime to:
refresh yourself on the course content before your In-person component,
complete future LTPD Stage of Development courses,
read the other material provided by Canada Soccer,
download the CSA-approved session plans AND...
Find "Proof of Course Completion" to take a screenshot to send to courses@norwestsoccer.com when you're done!
These will NOT appear on your NCCP transcript. You must complete the in-person component to them on your transcript.
Be sure to choose the correct course for the age group you will be coaching. You will not be permitted to coach without the course correct to the LTPD Stage of Development of the team:

Learn to Train
Soccer for Life

NW Soccer does not provide course Keys. If your club does not provide a key, you will need to obtain a key code from Canada Soccer and pay the $15-$35 fee for this portion of your course independently.
Spots not secured by full course payment two weeks before the course date will be forfeited and given to another coach.
Refunds will be made up until 2 weeks before the course date. A 10% admin fee will be deducted.
No refunds will be made available for cancellations by coaches within the two weeks before the course date.
The Making Ethical Decisions Evaluation completes your M.E.D. course. You will find it in your NCCP Locker under eLearning. It will show independently on your NCCP Transcript.
After taking the MED course, you can access the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions online evaluation free through the Locker. Completing the evaluation is necessary for coach certification in any NCCP program.
Required for Team Managers as well as coaches. It must be renewed every 5 years.
The online course curriculum is broken into six (6) 30-minute modules and includes audio/visual presentations, quizzes, and printable handouts. Another beneficial feature of the program is that it does not need to be done all at once; it can be completed at your leisure. We are hoping that coaches will recognize the long-term value of the program because of the values it promotes and also what it teaches regarding important practical guidelines for youth coaches.

(Renewals are discounted by 50% by RiS.)
✔️Remember to check the box in your Respect in Sport profile that allows RiS to share your course status with your NCCP profile so that it shows in your NCCP Transcript.
If you are a coach of girls we highly recommend you also take the Keeping Girls in Sport course from Respect Group as well!
If you are a coach of girls we recommend you also take the Keeping Girls in Sport course from Respect Group as well!
(HIGHLY recommended for all involved in Girls Sport)
Keeping Girls in Sport is an online resource that helps coaches and youth activity leaders create safe and respectful environments for female athletes. It's more complex than you think!
The online courses are broken into modules so that you can fit them into small blocks of time. You should expect to spend 60-90 minutes completing each course. Each completed module will be recorded on your coaching transcript as professional development. You will need to log into your NCCP Locker to complete these:
Any National Coaching Certification Program course you've completed will be on your Coach Transcript under your NCCP# - as long as you consistently provide your NCCP# (in some cases, the same email address your Locker was opened under) for course registrations.
If you have never taken a National Coach Certification Program course and need an NCCP#, you can follow the instructions here to get one:
If you have taken coaching courses before, you probably have an NCCP# assigned to the email address you used to register for the course - even if you are unaware of the number. You can access your transcript if you know what email address you used to register for the course:
Accessing your NCCP# Transcript
Side note: if you are missing courses in your NCCP Locker, it is usually because they are under a different email address/NCCP#. If you access your transcript using your NCCP# or your email address, please contact the staff at: CoachesOntario.ca or Coach.ca.
We avoid the use of credit cards since the merchant fees have been adding +/- $12 to the cost of each course registration. Please use e-transfer or cheque to make your payment.
If you do require credit card payment email courses@norwestsoccer.com to request it. We will follow up with an invoice with a link. We add an $8-$15 dollar (depending on the course fee) surcharge to cover the extra merchant fee.
We will send you an electronic invoice with instructions from our Wave Accounting software.
Send an electronic transfer to courses@norwestsoccer.com
Within 7 days we will process your payment and send an electronic receipt.
Transfers to other potential course dates do not carry admin fees. However, transfers will only be considered if the requested new date is a course hosted by NorWest Soccer, within the calendar year (or a club credit will be offered), if space is available, and if the request is made at least two weeks before the course date.
Refunds will be subject to a 10% administration fee unless provided by club credit & will not be offered less than two weeks before the course date - unless an eligible coach from a waitlist can be placed.

If you are missing something, trace back through the steps to see what connecting info may have been missed. You may be able to use our Troubleshooting Guide for help - but our club doesn't have access to ALL the things that may affect your NCCP Transcript. You may need to contact someone from coach.ca or Ontario Soccer personally.
