Thank you for your interest in taking your coaching course(s) with us!
This is intended to save us both time - but it only works when read. 😉
Like a Good Coach, we like to foster independence. Questions that are not explained on our website can be emailed to courses@norwestsoccer.com. Due to reduced staffing at some times of the year, there may be a 10-day delay in our personal email replies.
I am unable to respond to course inquiries outside of our Course Seasons & during our peak club season.
Invoices are sent to coaches directly at the email address supplied to Ontario Soccer when they register via www.coachcentre.ca
If they don't get it/read it, there are issues. Coaches who remain unpaid two weeks before the course date are DEREGISTED to try and fill the spot—not without a few reminders and warnings, though!
All the other online courses need to be proven to Clubs and Districts for spring carding clearance, but not before they attend in-person courses.
Click the drop-downs below to get help with each topic.
Your coach's education profile is a National Coaching Certification Program Number (NCCP#). All NCCP coach training and education you take is recorded through an online database called The Locker. Your training from every sport and in every context is recorded here. As well professional development (PD) training can also be recorded here. In order to take an NCCP module, you will need an NCCP#.

Canada Soccer Grassroots (LTPD) Coaching Courses are broken into two (2) parts for delivery:

Are prerequisites offered online via Canada Soccer's site for coaches to access independently.
A "Key" or code will be required. Keys can be purchased from Canada Soccer online or are sometimes offered by clubs. Links are on this site's Home page.
Practical Components
Are run by Ontario Soccer Learning Facilitators and hosted locally. They complete a Canada Soccer Grassroots Coaching Course only when accompanied by the matching Theory Component.
Registration is required via www.coachcentre.ca
After registration in Coach Centre we will invoice via Wave accounting software,
Receipts are provided the same way when we process your payment - Wave,
All invoiced payments are to be made by electronic transfer, cheque, or cash,
Credit card payment may be arranged for a cost based fee; averaging $15. Email us.
Registrations not paid for at least 2 weeks prior to the course date will be cancelled to allow other coaches access.
Fwd the CSA course completion to courses@norwestsoccer.com < 7 days prior to course date
Participants without a Paid Receipt & Theory Completion Receipt will NOT be admitted.
Read the full Payment, Cancellation, & Refund info on the Courses page of our website.
We have been experiencing difficulty reaching some registrants due to SPAM Filters.
We send details using the emails below during the weeks and months before courses.
It is a coach's responsibility to be sure they are receiving course communication. Try the steps below to ensure you are in the course loop:
Be sure your email address & mobile # are current in your CoachCentre profile,
ADD emailgenerator@e2esoccer.com to your list of accepted senders.
ADD courses@norwestsoccer.com to your list of accepted senders.
ADD mail@Waveapps.com to your list of accepted senders to receive invoices.
If you haven't received any email from us within 7 days, please email COURSES@NORWESTSOCCER.COM to ask.
We do not offer voicemail.
Once our application to host is marked Approved by Ontario Soccer in Coach Centre.
www.coachcentre.com will accept registrations for them as soon as they are listed as Approved
Post-course certificate Approval delays are usually one of the following:
The correct Grassroots online course was not completed before attending the in-person Grassroots course.
The post-course survey on www.coachcentre.ca was not completed after the in-person component of the course.
Your SportU course Club or District information was completed inaccurately when you registered with your Key code.
NorWest Soccer cannot fix any of these for you.
Ontario Soccer has to verify EVERY.ONE. before Approval. OS warned us last year that this can take 2 weeks post-course because the two Course Component systems don't connect and it has to be done by one person—from a spreadsheet of 20K names.
We try to help by reserving backup copies of your Theory components for a year+/- for troubleshooting, but there's nothing we can do or see from our end to Approve a coach After the course.
Ontario Soccer is blocking Approvals, therefore, NCCP clearance which Club & Districts need, when they cannot find a coach's CSA Grassroots online pre-requ. (on a spreadsheet that covers CANADA that is over 20K names long - this is part of ONE person's job)
About 50% of the time, it's because a coach has NOT DONE THE COURSE.
BUT...
WHEN coaches do their Grasrrots online component and choose "UNATTACHED" or DON'T correctly include their Club/District, it dramatically decreases the chance of their Approval because it's harder for Ontario Soccer to verify.
You or your club registrar will need to contact Ontario Soccer if this happens - between March 15 & July 1.
Once they're missed, it can take over a year and up to 10 emails to get this corrected—NW doesn't have time for that in the spring as Club player registration is prioritized then. Not even if you "HAVE coached Hockey all winter and just need a hail Mary" ALL of April is hail Marys, for every email here! lol
When we become aware of any way to save you some money on coach courses, we add them here:
There is no system capacity for a waiting list. Coaches register independently online.
Check www.coachcentre.com regularly.
New courses are added from January through May.
