Active Buzzer

You may find two different types of buzzers in your kit. An ACTIVE buzzer and a PASSIVE buzzer. You will probably only use the ACTIVE buzzer in your projects.

Active buzzers will generate a tone when a direct current (DC) voltage is applied. Most of the projects that we will do are just DC. A passive buzzer requires a modulated (or PWM) signal to make a sound.
