During the Covid19 crisis, Xfinity is offering free access to their public WiFi hotspots. They are now open to everyone on the “xfinitywifi” network. Public hotspots can be found in small/medium businesses and outdoors in commercial areas. Users are limited to 12 hours of use. Non-Xfinity subscribers need to accept the Terms and Conditions to access the network and repeat when requested to continue to receive free unlimited access. Comcast also offers affordable internet access through their Internet Essentials program for families. The cost is $9.95 per month and you cannot have been a Comcast subscriber for the past 90 days. You will qualify for the program if you are eligible for public assistance programs like the National School Lunch Program, housing assistance, Medicaid, SNAP, SSI, and others.
