We start out the semester with a tutorial of the DAW SoundTrap, which is like GarageBand or Pro Tools, but in a cloud environment. You will learn how to use the loop feature in SoundTrap to create your own song.

In this course, you will also learn about the different career paths in the Recording Arts. The most needed position is always someone who can set up sound for live events. You will learn about the mixboard and how to differenciate between microphones.

The final project will be our Foley Effects Project. This takes you into the world of sound effects. You will learn about how sound effects are recording into movies and what tools they use. Then you will take a a section of a movie and apply sound effects to it.
