Start by listening to a minute of the song - you have all probably heard it!
How would you count out this song?
What would the time signature be?
Play the song again, but this time stand in a circle with one rhythm stick each. Pass your sticks to the right on beat with the song.

Now that you've got the rhythm figured out, grab another stick, and I'd like you guys to work as a team to come up with an easy routine. Sometimes it will be helpful to count out 1-2-3-4, and other times it may feel easier to count out 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8.

MOVE YOUR STICKS - YOU CAN HIT THEM BEHIND YOUR BACK, ABOVE YOUR HEAD, TAP THE PERSOn's STICKS NEXT TO YOU, TAP UNDER YOUR LEGS, ROLL THEM, DO THE LADDER MOVE (ONE ON TOP OF THE OTHER)
LISTEN TO CUES IN THE MUSIC! Sometimes you'll hear claps or other unique sounds that will help you choose a move for that part of the song.
