Xello is one of the tools we use for Academic and Career Planning in grades 6-12. Students use the program to learn more about themselves through various assessments, including: interest inventory, skills inventory, and learning styles survey. Students also complete four lessons each year within the program and reflect on career-based learning experiences they participate in.
In addition, the content of Xello is rich with information on careers, education, employment trends, and more. Each student has a personal Xello account with an e-portfolio. The e-portfolio holds assessment results, favorite information on schools and careers, and the student's Academic & Career Plan. This is updated each year, so students are able to back to previous years and review what they saved and why - and make any adjustments necessary.
