In order to address third grade math standards, our school will be using the Go Math program. This program places emphasis on problem solving in everyday situations. The structure of each lesson allows for previous skills and concepts to be revisited to ensure long-term learning. We will be playing lots of hands on games to reinforce the concepts being taught in class.
In third grade we will be focusing on the procedures, concepts, and applications for the following areas:
-Multiplication & Division
-Fractions
-Measurement
-Shapes & Attributes

Students are starting the year reviewing place value, learning how to round to the nearest 10 and 100, and practicing their multi-digit addition and subtraction skills!
Next, students will work on interpreting data using various charts and graphs.
