Independent Study

This accelerated studio/lecture course is designed for the highly motivated, exceptional art student who aspired to an art-related profession or desires to take additional art classes. Artwork will be focusing of conceptual ideas in drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, or other sculptures. In addition to studio work, students will also explore art history and experiment with different materials and techniques. Through classroom investigation, students will develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for the visual arts and begin to develop a professional portfolio. Students will be expected to work outside of class to finish work and are expected to purchase additional supplies specific to their own projects.
