Requirements
PURPOSE
The members of the World Languages Department have established an honor society for students in advanced world language study, for the following reasons:
To recognize and reward high achievement in the world language classroom – in French, Italian, Spanish, or American Sign Language – and to promote the continuity of, interest in, and enthusiasm for the language study.
To stimulate interest and enthusiasm for the study of a second language among the entire student body.
To foster an atmosphere of understanding and acceptance of all cultures, to learn from one another, and to appreciate the value of a multi-cultured society.
QUALIFICATIONS
Acceptance for membership is based on the following criteria:
Students must be presently enrolled in level 4, 5, or AP of language study having successfully completed level 3.
Cumulative average of 89.5% in World Language.
Requirements:
Attendance at ALL World Language Honor Society Meetings set by the Student cabinet.
Tutor a World Language at the after school Homework Center.
Pay $10.00 dues once inducted
Actively participate in one of the World Languages Honor Society committees

ONLY COMPLETED applications will be considered.
