The North Rockland Central School District English Department’s mission is to develop better writers, better readers, and, most importantly, better thinkers. This mission includes the fostering of such technological literacy as information retrieval, research, and communication.

We believe that all students can gather, analyze, and communicate information effectively as well as think creatively and draw their own conclusions. It is our job to foster each of these important skills.
