Our departure date will be Monday, 03/02/2026 and we will return on Saturday, 3/07/2025. We will spend four days staying in and visiting Washington, D.C., as well as taking a day trip to Baltimore, MD. Some exciting, educational, Washington, D.C., sites we may visit are: The White House, The Capitol Building, Arlington National Cemetery, Holocaust Museum, Mount Vernon, Jefferson Memorial, The National Cathedral, Smithsonian Museums, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, WWII memorial, Washington Monument, and FDR memorial. Some sites we may see in Baltimore include the National Aquarium, Historic Ships of Inner Harbor, and Fort McHenry Monument. .

Deadline to Sign-Up is October 1st: The cost of the trip is $1,944, and covers EVERYTHING except spending money to buy souvenirs. All that’s required to register is a $115 deposit.
Hotels, meals, tickets, tour guides, safety and support, and entry into all buildings and sites is included. We realize this trip is costly. But, when you price everything out you will see the cost would be similar to $1,944, plus it's a great investment in your child's education!
Fundraising
Also on the WorldStrides website is information about their Gift of Education program, which allows students to raise money for their trip. Many Petoskey Middle School students in the past have successfully raised enough money to pay for most or all of their trip if they start early.
