The NHHS Music Department was allowed to participate in the Festival of Music competition in Boston, Massachusetts. During the first day at Boston, we went to the Museum of Science and watched the Blue Man Group.
The second day was more hands on with music. All of our ensembles performed amazing performances. Afterwards, we visited Quincy Market for an evening of fun.
The final day was the awards ceremony. We had 2 individual awards for best jazz solo and best vocalist in the festival, and that went to Ellwyn Michael and Sophia Kingsley Voide. We also had some amazing awards go out to each of the ensambles, with Treble Choir winning best overall Choir! We would like to congratulate them all on their amazing performances!
On March 15, the Concert Band, Treble Choir, One Voice, Concert Choir, and Wind Ensemble performed an amazing concert! We would like to congratulate everyone on an amazing performance and cannot wait for adjudication coming up!

Congratulations to all of our band and choir members that got into the All-State choirs and bands! They had wonderful concerts March 30th - April 1st. We would like to give them a special shout out for all the hard work they've put in because it has paid off.
From January 30th to February 9th, Tri-M and the Music Department is hosting a Penny War to help fund our trip to Boston! If you want to participate, head on down to the music wing and place your money in either the Choir jug or the Band jug. The jug with the most points, pennies, in the end wins the golden metronome! If you want to take away points from the other team, any other U.S currency counts as negative points.
